Weezy F baby and the F is for Finally. It’s been a long, long time coming (“Tha Carter IV” was released seven years ago on August 29th, 2011 and Tunechi first announced the followup in 2012) but it’s finally here — the much anticipated “Tha Carter V,” rap superstar Lil Wayne’s twelfth studio album dropped Friday morning at midnight, the day after Wayne’s 36th birthday.

The album contains features from Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar and singing from Nicki Minaj and the late XXXTentacion.
Per “Tha Carter V” Wikipedia entry:
Originally planned to be released in 2014, Tha Carter V experienced several delays as a result of contractual disputes between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records, as well as his numerous personal disputes with label-head, Birdman. Following a lengthy legal battle, Lil Wayne was confirmed to have been released from his contract with Cash Money in June 2018, and announced the release of the album in September.
“Tha Carter V” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and other streaming platforms.
