“I don’t play when it comes to my heart,” Cardi B says in her feature on chart-topping Maroon 5 song “Girls Like You,” and in her latest Instagram announcement, it appears that she’s not playing when it comes to husband of one year and baby daddy Offset of the Migos:
“I’m always going to have a lot of love for him because he’s my daughter’s father,” a clearly flustered Cardi says in Tuesday night’s video revelation. “I guess we grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I don’t know. I’ve been trying to work things out with [him] for a hot minute now and we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners,” the “Money” rapper continues. “He’s always somebody that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time and it’s nobody’s fault.”
“There you go… peace and love,” Cardi B said in the post’s caption. Husband Offset replied with the comment, “Y’all won,” suggesting that those who hated on the two’s marriage may have played a part in its current state of disarray.
The power couple, proud parents to four-month-old Kulture Kiari, have been careful to keep their newborn out of the media spotlight, Cardi even going so far as to reject a seven-figure offer.
