Cardi B may have offered the world a glimpse of her three-month-old daughter Kulture Kiari (back in September) but despite the overwhelming demand, the twenty-six-year-old hip hop queen isn’t about to trade her daughter’s privacy for cash — no matter how lucrative the offer:
“I got offered seven figures [to show Kulture], I’m just not ready yet,” Cardi revealed during a sit-down with radio personality Ebro Darden on his Apple Music Beats 1 show. “I’m not even ready yet to have a damn babysitter.”
Although a seven-figure deal seems mighty sweet, it’s easy to sympathize with Cardi’s reluctance to show Kulture to the world, especially when it comes to her daughter’s safety. “I could show you screenshots of comments, and my phone number got leaked,” Cardi went on to say on Beats 1. “I got so many disgusting text messages that I literally I had to hire a private investigator to find out who the f–k is these people threatening my child.”
Cardi has already made it clear that she doesn’t play when it comes to her child, even if it means telling off or even almost getting into a physical altercation with fellow hip-hop queen Nicki Minaj — so good on the “Girls Like You” rapper for sticking to her guns and keeping her integrity when it comes to keeping baby Kulture out of the media spotlight.
Did Cardi make the right move in refusing a seven-figure-deal to show baby Kulture to the world? Let us know in the comments.
